For the Andis 5 Speed clipper, cord replacement ensures continued optimal performance. Let's dive into the process.
First, take out the 4 screws from the clipper to disassemble it.
Flip the clipper so the top case is facing up.
Take the top of the case off to expose the electronics inside.
Upon opening the clipper, you’ll see that there’s a black and white wire connected at the bottom of your clipper.
We will disconnect them both - start by gently pulling the white one out.
Hold the butt down on the board as you pull up on the wire which sits on the post.
Repeat the process with the black one.
Discard the old cord.
Get your replacement cord ready.
With the black wire, snap it on the metal post in the same way the old black wire was previously connected.
Make sure it snaps properly in place.
Do the same for the white wire.
Once all is done, put your bale hanger back in .
Make sure everything is in place before you screw the top case back on.
Put our bale hanger back in.
Set this cord - you want to do it with the groove on the topside because it fits into the groove of the slot that is right here on your top case.
